Smitten

I am smitten. That's it, that's all there is to it. Right or wrong, I am smitten by you. And I don't know what to do about it. There's no way to move forward, and I can't bring myself to move backward. So I'm stuck. But I've gotta say, there are worse things to be stuck on than you, so I think I'll be alright. And who knows what the future might bring. Perhaps one day, if I'm very lucky, it'll bring that smile of yours to me so I can see it anytime I please. In the meantime, I remain… smitten.
